Tres Leches cake (or ‘three milks cake’) is a Mexican sponge cake soaked in three types of milk- evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream. This unique Marbled Tres Leches cake,you will definitely like to try.
Ingredients:
For Making Meringue:
Egg white- 4
Powdered Sugar- 1/ 2 cup
Vinegar- 1 tsp
For The Cake:
Egg Yolk- 4
All Purpose Flour- 1 cup
Baking Powder- 1 tsp
Baking Soda- 1/4 tsp
Salt- 1/8 tsp
Powdered Sugar- 1/2 cup
Oil- 1/ 4 cup
Milk- 1/ 2 cup
Vanilla Extract- 1 tsp
Cocoa Powder- 2 tbsp
Coffee Powder- 1 tsp
For Milk Mixture:
Full Cream Milk- 1 cup(boiled and cooled)
Whipping Cream/ Heavy Cream- 3/ 4 cup
Condensed Milk- 1/ 2 cup
Vanilla Extract- 1/ 2 tsp
For Frosting:
Whipping Cream- 1 cup
Powdered Sugar- 2 tbsp
Dark Compound Chocolate- 100 gm(melted and cooled)
For Decoration:

Method:
Grease and dust a 8 ½ “ Spring Cake tin.
Preheat the oven at 170° C
Separate egg yolk and egg white
First make the meringue by taking egg white in a clean dry mixing bowl. Add vinegar and beat well. When it starts frothing. Add sugar gradually and beat it till it forms a stiff peak. Keep aside.
In another bowl, take egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix well. Add sugar and beat using electric beater, till it become fluffy and pale in colour. Now add oil and beat well.
Take another bowl. Sieve all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Add all these ingredients into egg yolk mixture along with milk. Combine together.
Now take a little portion of meringue and mix well in egg yolk mixture.
Again repeat the above step by taking small portion of meringue and mix in egg yolk mixture. Similarly, combine all meringue in a egg yolk batter and keep aside.
In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder and coffee powder together and add little cake batter in it and mix well.
Now divide the cake batter into two portion.
One portion is the plain vanilla batter
In the other portion add above prepared cocoa mix and make the cocoa batter
Now pour vanilla batter and cocoa batter alternately in the prepared cake tin. Drag a tooth pick through cake batter to give a marble effect. Tap the tin and bake the cake in a preheated oven for 40-45 min.
When cake is ready, Take it out from the oven and poke the cake with tooth pick and keep aside.
In a bowl, mix heavy/whipping cream, milk, condensed milk and vanilla extract. Pour the milk mixture on the cake gradually. Refrigerate the cake for 1 hour/ overnight.
In a bowl whip the cream. Add melted chocolate and beat well. Keep aside.
Take out the cake from the fridge and remove it from the cake tin. Cover the cake with the prepared frosting. Decorate the cake as you desire. Serve it chilled with milk mixture.........
